Los Angeles, United States - September 2016 - From 23 to 25 September there was a vocation discernment meeting organized by the Salesians and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians. It was attended by nine young people in discernment for SDB life, three young people in discernment for FMA life and three people in discernment to become Salesian Cooperators.
Buenos Aires, Argentina - September 2016 - On 10 September, at the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Shrine, Alexis Garro, Leonel Cánepa and Nestor Belsun made their Perpetual Profession as Salesians of Don Bosco.
Madrid, Spain - September 2016 - On 24 and 25 September, Youth Ministry workers from different congregations, movements and dioceses of Spain gathered at the Salesian House of Atocha for the fifteenth Youth Ministry Course. The theme was accompaniment in Youth Ministry. This formation initiative was promoted by eleven religious institutions, including the Salesian Family, and was attended by representatives of over 34 congregations, movements and dioceses.
Machakos, Kenya - October 2016 - On 2 October the Salesian House of Don Bosco Nzaikoni in the province of East Africa (AFE) celebrated the 25th anniversary of its foundation. Bishop Anthony Muheria celebrated a Mass of thanksgiving during which 653 children and adults received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Brothers and priests who worked in Don Bosco Nzaikoni over the 25 years were honoured. Among those present was Fr Thomas Puncha, founder of the parish.
