Warsaw, Poland - October 2016 - The Salesian Mission Office in Warsaw has recently renewed its image with a new logo, a new website and new profiles on social networks. The new web page www.misjesalezjanie.pl is designed in such a way that it makes it easy for supporters of the mission to follow the missionary work around the world. The activities of the Salesian Mission Office can also be followed on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Snapchat, by writing '@misjesalezjanie'.  A "crowdfunding" platform has also been launched and a new mobile application - misje salezjanie – which will be the answer to the needs of today's world and a new means of daily communication. 

Buenos Aires, Argentina - 30 September 2016 - Three Salesians - Fr Juan Picca, Fr Carlos Salvador Moreno and Fr Eduardo Giorda -received the "Divine Master" award. The award, now in its fortieth year, was set up by the Superior Council of Catholic Education (CONSUDEC) and is awarded to people who have dedicated their lives to teaching and are recognized by generations of students as authentic teachers. Other winners include three Daughters of Mary Help of Christians - Sr Ángela Maria Agostini, Sr Elba Guerrero Díaz, and Sr Julia Gómez – and Professor Mercedes Arteche, teacher at the Salesian School of Juan XXIII.

Tiruchy, India - October 2016 - A two-day seminar on gender equity education for members of the Salesian Family and lay people involved in the mission was held at the Provincial House of the Salesians in Tiruchy. The topics ranged from Social Justice to Child Psychology and Understanding of Human Rights. Fr Thomas Louis, Provincial Delegate for the Salesian Family, led the seminar.

Geneva, UN - September 22, 2016 - At the round table organized by the UN on "Youth and Human Rights" two young people linked to the FMA Office of Human Rights (IIMA) were among those invited. Simon-Pierre Escudero spoke on the problems in gaining access to employment and the importance of volunteering among young Salvadorans. Maria D'Onofrio spoke on the role of young people in changing society. Their participation was also recognition of IIMA and VIDES, which were the first to have the theme of 'youth' included in the Human Rights Council.
