Milan, Italy – September 2024 - On Sunday, 15 September, in the Basilica of St Augustine in Milan, Susanna Anzini, Andrea Dancelli, Rita Fallea, Andrea Festa, Daniela Tognoni and Fabio Fiscardi, made their perpetual profession as Salesians of Don Bosco and Daughters of Mary Help of Christians. The celebration was presided over by Fr Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy, Councillor for the Mediterranean Region, who for the occasion wore an alb belonging to St John Bosco. The mass was concelebrated by Fr Roberto Dal Molin, Superior of the Lombard-Emilian Province (ILE) and animated by the youth of the SYM choir. Many family members, SDB, FMA, friends and young people from various parts of the Province, and others, attended the celebration and gathered in the courtyard, where celebrations continued at the end of the ceremony. The celebration was the concluding moment of the 2 Youth Days, an event at the beginning of the year of the Salesian Youth Movement in Lombardy-Emilia, which was attended by about 200 young educators and formators engaged in the homes, and animation by the Leader Formation School.

Mexico City, Mexico – September 2024 – On 15 September, the Vicar of the Rector Major, Fr Stefano Martoglio, visited the Salesian community of Casa Zatti which accepts elderly Salesians of the Province of Mexico City (MEM). The Vicar of the Rector Major, accompanied by his secretary, Fr Alexander Patrick Anthonyraj, the MEM Provincial, Fr Ignacio Ocampo Uribe and his Vice-Provincial Fr Carlos Barbosa Castillo, established a fraternal dialogue with the community on the current state of the Salesian Congregation in the world and answered various questions. Fr Martoglio then presided at the Sunday mass. Then the National Day was commemorated with the traditional ceremony of the "Cry of Independence" and the singing of the Mexican national anthem. Fr Miguel Ángel Lezama Rojas, Rector of Casa Zatti, on behalf of the community expressed gratitude for the visit of Fr Martoglio who at all times expressed his closeness, simplicity and joy.

Nashik, India – In order to celebrate the bicentennial of Don Bosco's childhood dream (1824-2024), on 12 and 13 September the Dibyadaan Salesian Institute of Philosophy  in Nashik hosted its annual seminar, on "Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Don Bosco's Dream at Nine Years of Age". The seminar included contributions from 10 eminent speakers who offered different perspectives on Don Bosco's dream, thus providing a deeper and broader understanding of the dream and its implications. The seminar was attended by Salesians, Sisters and Salesian novices together with members of the Salesian Family and members of the Salesian Youth Movement. The program began with the words of welcome from Fr Robert Pen, Rector and Dean of the institute, followed by an introductory speech by Fr Maria Anthuvan Tharsis, who contextualised Don Bosco's dream and clarified the purpose of the seminar. The speakers' speeches followed. The seminar ended with a round table that allowed participants to ask questions, seek clarification and express their intuitions. The entire event was streamed live for the benefit of those who could not attend in person.

Kinshasa – DR Congo – September 2024 - On Sunday 8 September, in the parish of Mary Help of Christians in Kinshasa, Fr Aurélien Mukangwa, Superior of the Salesian Vice-Province of Africa Congo Congo (ACC), presided at a Mass during which two novices made their first profession and two Salesians celebrated 25 years of religious life.
