Santiago, Chile – September 2024 – A meeting of Rectors of the houses in the Salesian Province of Chile (CIL) took place on 24 and 25 September, chaired by the Provincial Fr Nelson Moreno. The aim of the days was to strengthen the capacity of Salesian leaders to animate their communities in line with the Salesian identity and in response to current challenges and to foster a climate of fraternity and provincial communion, promoting dialogue, closeness and shared responsibility among Rectors. The meeting began with the celebration of the Eucharist, presided over by Fr Moreno, and time for  theological and pastoral formation by Bishop Álvaro Chordi, Auxiliary Bishop of Santiago. The working days focused on reflecting on some current province issues related to each of the areas of animation and governance such as the service of the Salesian Rector and the use of Artificial Intelligence in terms of education and ministry. The second day began with the Eucharist presided over by Fr David Rivera, Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry and continued with an address by the Inspector, who dealt with several issues: theUniversidad Católica Silva Henríquez (UCSH), the 2025 Assembly, the Curatorium for the Theologate, Formation and other relevant issues, to ensure unity and consistency in decisions.

Brussels, Belgium – 28 September 2024 - Another off-schedule move by the Pope who, after meeting with the Jesuits, went to the Brussels Expo, a building near the King Baudouin Stadium, to greet boys and girls gathered in the afternoon for the "Hope Happening" event. An exciting welcome for the Pontiff, with songs and choirs: "Young people make a noise" said Pope Francis. "I recommend you help others and do not forget to pray." A group of young people from Bosco Base, accompanied by two 'extras' of St John Bosco and St Mary Mazzarello, took the stage to greet and take a selfie with Pope Francis.

Samphran, Thailand – September 2024 – During September, the Don Bosco Youth Centre in Samphran organised two days dedicated to sport, in which two teams of young people, the Red and the Blue, faced each other amicably. The events took place on 15 and 22 September and saw the involvement of many young people who engaged in activities such as football, futsal, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, snooker and bocce. On the final day two parades were held: one - the "Red" team - on the theme: "The fire of love that ignites dreams" and the other - the "Blue" - focused on: "The dreamworld, let's take care of it together". Also present for the occasion were Salesians Fr Aaron Alcoseba, who presided over the opening ceremony, and Mr Worawut Jirasujarittham, Director of the Centre.

Haiti – September 2024 - On Saturday 14 September, the first Consultative meeting for the Salesian Family in Haiti was held online, bringing together the Heads of the 8 Groups of the Salesian Family in this country, with the aim of renewing their manner of presence today and seeking together the answers to the many questions of daily life. Due to the disastrous socio-political situation in the country, the Salesian Family continues its mission in very difficult conditions. The Superior of the Salesians of Don Bosco of Haiti (HAI), Fr Morachel Bonhomme, the Provincial of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Sister Altagrâce Mathias, the provincial delegates for the Salesian Family: Fr Lex Florival (SDB) and Sister Dominique Giraud, (FMA), attended the meeting. “Don Bosco, Father of a charismatic family” was the central theme of the meeting. The Groups were invited to reflect on the different interventions of the morning through the following questions: In the light of the Salesian Family Charter, how does my group work at the local, regional and national level? What will we do so that our group can function according to its particular identity? Concrete resolutions. All participants at the end of the meeting were satisfied with this first Consultative meeting.
