Seoul, South Korea – June 2024 - The 18th Provincial Chapter of the Salesian Province of South Korea (KOR) concluded on 9 June. 34 Salesians reflected for five days on the theme "Passionate about Jesus Christ, dedicated to young people". To contribute to the GC29, proposals were prepared to recover the values of religious life, to find paths of renewal and spiritual accompaniment, to strengthen community life and to witness to Salesianity. Contributions were also made to GC29 on the position of KOR Province in terms of charism and mission shared with the Salesian Family and the laity, and in terms of Youth Ministry. In addition, amendments have been proposed to some articles of the Constitution and the Regulations that directly affect Salesian religious life. The delegate and substitutes were elected to represent the KOR Province at the GC29: Fr Marcelo Baek Kwanghyun, Frs Peter Kim Sangyoon and Samuel Yoo Myungil were chosen as Delegate and as first and second substitute respectively. In the homily for the closing mass, Fr Timothy Choi Woncheol, KOR Provincial, expressed his deep gratitude to all those who worked for the Provincial Chapter, highlighting the commitment to concretely live the passion of Jesus Christ, dedicated to young people.

Philippines – May 2024 – On the feast day of Mary Help of Christians, 24 May, the Salesian Province of the Southern Philippines rejoiced at the priestly ordination of three new Salesians, two of them from the Philippines and one from Pakistan. In the afternoon, Bishop Patricio Abella Buzon, SDB, Bishop of Bacolod, presided over the ordinations of the Salesians Antonio Velarde and Genson Banguis, at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, in Cebu. On the same day, Bishop Khalid Rehmat, Apostolic Vicar of Quetta, Pakistan, presided over the priestly ordination of Salesian Alfred Barnad. The ceremony was held at the Don Bosco Chapel in Quetta. Both events were attended by numerous Salesians, the families of the ordinands and members of the Salesian Family.

Duaca, Venezuela – June 2024 - More than ninety young Salesian leaders met at the Dominic Savio Youth Centre in Duaca, from 7 to 9 June, to participate in the National Meeting of Salesian Leaders under the motto "Always Happy". The meeting, organised by the Delegate for Salesian Youth Ministry and the Oratories and Youth Centres Commission, had the objective of evaluating, reflecting, praying and planning the Holiday Oratories that will be held in the coming months under the motto: "Dream with Joy, build eternity". Inspired by the dream of St John Bosco, the young people explored the criteria of the oratory, Salesian pedagogy and the legacy that Don Bosco left us with his life. The meeting was a time for reflection and growth for the leaders who with optimism and Salesian joy are preparing to take on the leadership of the Holiday Oratories. Participants shared experiences, ideas and dreams, committing to bringing joy and hope to children and young people in their communities through the oratories. The "Always Happy" National Meeting was a stimulus for young Salesian leaders to continue dreaming of a better Venezuela, where joy is the driving force of their actions, and love for others is their guide.

Madrid, Spain – June 2024 – The priestly ordination on 8 June in the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Madrid. Bishop Jesús Vidal, Auxiliary Bishop of Madrid, presided over the celebration in the presence of family, friends, young people, Salesians and other members of the Salesian Family. The new priests are Norbert Mamba, of the Spain's Mary Help of Christians Province (SMX) and Juan Carlos Aonso, of Spain's Saint James the Greater Province (SSM). The new deacons are Francisco Javier Alcedo (SMX), Alberto Arteaga (SSM), Luigi Sergio and Davide Baccaro of the Italy's Southern Province (IME).

Lyon, France – June 2024 – More than 140 participants from France and Belgium gathered at the Notre Dame des Minimes in Lyon, Saturday 1 June, for the 18th edition of Festiclip. The event was also attended by young people from Tahiti and other spectators, thanks to the live broadcast on Youtube. With 15 video clips presented, it was a great gala evening during which youth talent was once again showcased. The young people who took to the stage to present their short films described this experience as something dynamic and enriching, with many challenges but also a lot of fun. During the day, the young participants had the opportunity to talk to the jury, get to know the other teams, take part in a quiz and a basketball game and much more. Catemu, Chile – June 20024 – On 5 June, on the occasion of World Environment Day, the collaborators of the Central House, representatives of the pastoral educational community of the Agricultural School of Catemu and Federico Lagi, Project Manager of the Don Bosco Mission Office in Bonn, Germany, met virtually to participate in the launch of the report "Circular and environmental economy". The meeting was organised and led by the Office of Planning and Development in the Salesian Province of Chile (CIL), led by Fr Néstor Muñoz and Elizabeth Vivanco. "As you can see, we are 100% committed to the care of our Common Home, a priority of our Congregation, included in the Overall Provincial Plan and we want to continue taking steps, one of which is what the Agricultural School of Catemu has achieved," said Ms. Vivanco. From Germany, Federico Lagi added: "In April I was in Catemu and it was a very nice experience; I saw what they did, which is wonderful and now everyone can see it." The audiovisual work, achieved over two years by the Caetera Tolle Multimedia Centre of the CIL Province Communications Sector, shows the realisation of four projects that strengthen the efficiency regarding the agro-ecological impact in the daily work of the Salesian school, which improves the quality of life and learning of its students and the entire educational community. Fr Néstor Muñoz, Director of the Planning and Development Office, said: "Today the Catemu school is very forward-looking thanks to these sustainability projects that will undoubtedly make a contribution to the school and the community. We are children of a father who dreamed and I am convinced day after day that dreams can become reality."
