Caja de Agua - Punto Fijo, Venezuela - March 2016 - More than 1,150 young people participated in the celebration of Easter.

New York, UN – March 2016 – Salesian participation in the 60th Commission on the Status of Women was a collaborative endeavor that led to three written interventions and three parallel events prepared by Fr. Tom Brennan, SDB, the Salesian Representative at the United Nations in New York, on diverse topics that have a major impact on the lives of girls and women: violence in its many forms; HIV infection; Trafficking of Girls and Women; the Human Right to Water and Sanitation; access to power; discrimination and stigma. Additionally, Fr. Brennan and Sr. Runita Borja, FMA, General Counsellor for Youth Ministry, attended a number of other events and meetings held during the commission, networking with other advocates for the rights of girls and women from around the world.

San Isidro de El General, Costa Rica - March 27, 2016 - The spiritual leaders of the Salesian Youth Movement together with the aspirants of the Salesian Cooperators held a meeting with about 80 young people from EpRE programmes, EJE and ESCOGE, on the theme of Easter Sunday.

Congo - March 2016 - On March 29, Bishop Gaston Ruvezi, SDB, of Sakania-Kipushi presided at the Eucharistic celebration for the opening of the nineteenth Provincial Chapter of Central Africa (AFC), led by Fr David Mubenga, moderator, and chaired by Fr Jean Claude Ngoy, Superior AFC.

Popayan, Colombia - March 2016 - The priestly ordination of the Salesian Jimmy Alexander Ordoñez Portilla took place on 12 March in the Cathedral of "Nuestra Señora de la Asunción" of Popayán. He was ordained by the imposition of hands and the prayer of consecration by Archbishop Iván Marín López of Popayán.
