Asunción, Paraguay - April 2016 - Young people from the Salesian parish of St Vincent de Paul organized a day of mission on behalf of those affected by the flood. They went to their shelters and shared songs, games and a snack with the children and teenagers. 

Negombo, Sri Lanka - April 2016 - A meeting of the "Don Bosco Communications South Asia" (BOSCOM) took place on 2/3 April. It was chaired by Fr Godfrey D'Souza, Provincial of Mumbai and Representative for Social Communication. It was attended by Fr Joseph Almeida, Superior of Sri Lanka, Fr. Noel Maddichetty, Secretary to the Salesian Provincial Conference of South Asia, Fr Joaquim Fernandes, Regional Delegate of Boscom South Asia, Fr A. Raj, Executive Secretary, and the Delegates of the Provinces of the South Asia region.

Ivato, Madagascar - April 2016 - From 5 to 7 April Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major, is presiding over the Conference of Provinces and Vice-Provinces of Africa and Madagascar (CIVAM). The central theme is the Salesian Family.  For this reason the participants include Fr Eusebio Muñoz (Representative of the Rector Major for the Salesian Family) and Fr Giuseppe Casti (World Delegate for Salesian Co-operators). Other topics related to the Salesian Congregation are the processes of animation and government and the formation of Salesians.

(ANS - Guwahati) - Scientific and empirical data have shown that working for women's development also brings many benefits for their families and their communities. Aware of that, the Salesians of the Province of India-Guwahati have promoted Women’s Self-Help Groups (WSHG). On 29 March last they organized a meeting on micro-credit, during which, thanks to agreements with some banks, it was possible to give loans to thirteen women belonging to these self-help groups.

Monteortone, Italy - April 2016 – The Provincial Chapter of the Salesian province of the Middle East (MOR) takes place in Monteortone from 3 to 9 April (MOR), with Fr Munir El Rai, Superior MOR. The Chapter is taking place in Italy because of the problems between the various countries that make up the MOR Province. 

Capriglio, Italy – 3 April 2016 - A new statue by the artist Riccardo Cordero was blessed and placed on a stone pedestal in front of the Mamma Margherita Museum in the birthplace of Mamma Margaret. The statue is made of bronze.  The height is 175 cm, and the weight about 172 kg.
