Bukavu, R.D. Congo - April 2017 – On 18 and 19 April, nine Salesians from the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo (Bukavu, Goma, Uvira) met for two days in Bukavu to study the Framework of Reference for Salesian Youth Ministry. The meeting was led by Fr Jean-Claude Kikonde, Rector of the House of Goma-Ngangi, and Fr. Antoine Wenga, Rector of the House of Uvira and Delegate for Youth Ministry.

Córdoba, Argentina - May 1, 2017 – A meeting of FMA and SDB Provincials of the Conference of Salesian Provinces of the Southern Cone Region (CISUR), with Fr Natale Vitali, Councillor for the American Southern Cone Region, and Sister Marija Peče, FMA Visiting Councillor.

(ANS - Vatican City) - Fr Vitaliy Krivitskiy,SDB, a member of the Poland-Krakow Province (PLS), and currently parish priest of the Parish of St. Peter in Odessa, Ukraine, was appointed by Pope Francis on 30 April as  Bishop of the diocese of Kiev-Zhytomyr in Ukraine.

Luanda, Angola - May 2017 - On 1 May, feast of Saint Joseph the Worker, a meeting of the Salesian Brothers of the Angolan Vice-Province (ANG) took place for the first time. The meeting was held with the specific objective of sharing the experiences of the Regional Congress of Salesian Brothers in Nairobi, Kenya, from 18 to 23 April. Also present was Fr Victor Sequeira, Superior of ANG.

Ląd, Poland - April 2017 - From 22 to 23 April at Ląd in the Piła Province (PLN), a meeting of the National Consultative Body of the Salesian Family took place, with the participation of Provincials, Vice-Provincials, Coordinators, Salesians and Laity of the 4 Polish Provinces, the Provincials and Delegates of the two FMA Provinces, the Regional Leader of the Volunteers of Don Bosco, the Michaelite Sisters, and the Vicar General of the Michaelites.

Cochabamba, Bolivia - April 2017 - From 29 April to 1 May, the National Congress of Mary Help of Christians took place, with over 200 participants. Among those present were Fr Pierluigi Cameroni, Postulator General for the Causes of Saints and World Spiritual Animator of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA); those responsible for ADMA in Bolivia; Fr Javier Ortiz, Provincial of Bolivia; Tullio Lucca, ADMA World President; and Archbishop Tito Solari, SDB, Archbishop Emeritus of Cochabamba.
