Mwenda-Tera, D.R. Congo - April 2018 - On the occasion of the canonical visitation of Fr Albert Kabuge, Provincial of Central Africa (AFC), on 31 March and 1 April, Easter and the anniversary of the canonization of St. John Bosco were celebrated in the villages of Mwenda and Tera, with the participation of many faithful.

Guatemala City, Guatemala - March 2018 - On March 17 and 18, the Salesian Youth Commission of Central America met, a commission made up of a Salesian and a young animator or coordinator of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) for each country in the Province of Central America (CAM). The aim of the meeting was to share best practices, statistical data and program of each group in each country. Also, important points were discussed and approved regarding its participation to WYD 2019 in Panama and SYM World Day.

Arévalo, Spain - March 26, 2018 - The musical "Today I cannot rise", staged by 130 young people from the "Boscoarévalo" Youth Center of the Salesians of Arévalo, was much praised in the five days of its programming, with over 2,500 spectators.

São Paulo, Brazil - March 2018 - On 19 March the "Dom Bosco Bom Retiro" Institute, belonging to the Brazil-São Paulo Province (BSP), celebrated its 99th anniversary. Currently the Salesian social center, covering about 12,000 square meters in the "Bom Retiro" neighborhood, carries out 9 main projects offering various assistance and support services to about 1,500 families each year, for a total of circa 6,000 people.

Ushuaia, Argentina - April 2018 - Fr Natale Vitali, Councilor for the America South Cone Region, celebrated Mass in the historic Salesian chapel of Ushuaia, which celebrated its 120th anniversary. The members of the Pastoral Educational Community participated in the Mass.

Lhanguene, Mozambique - March 18, 2018 - The Apostolic Missionary Action promoted a formative meeting in preparation for the Synod of Bishops on the theme "Young people, faith and vocational discernment." The meeting was led by Fr Francisco Pescador, SDB, Vicar of the Vice Province of Mozambique, and saw the participation of over 40 youths belonging to the communities of Goba, Moamba, Matola and various parishes of Maputo.
