Mexico City, Mexico - October 2018 - On October 14th, Msgr. Salvador Cleofás Murguía Villalobos, SDB, bishop of the Prelature of Mixes, led the pilgrimage that the population of Mixes makes each year to the Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe in Mexico City. During the journey the faithful, dressed in their typical clothes, recite the Rosary, and the musical bands play after every mystery. Once the group reached the Basilica of the "Morenita", Msgr. Murguía Villalobos presided at the Eucharist, concelebrated by the bishop emeritus of Mixes, mgr. Héctor Guerrero Córdova, SDB.

Cochabamba, Bolivia - October 17, 2018 - Over 850 young people from 18 educational units participated in the "Promotions Meeting" on the theme "Call to Hope", as part of the vocational orientation and life plan process organized by the "Don Bosco Popular (People's) Schools" of Cochabamba.

Recife, Brazil - October 2018 – On October 10, the State Forum for the Prevention and Eradication of Child Labor in the State of Pernambuco promoted the 6th edition of the "Pernambuco March against Child Labor" in Recife. The Salesian Institute "Escola Dom Bosco" was part of the event's organizing committee and its students, with coordinators and educators, created posters, marched in the streets and danced in a flash mob.

Italy - Marian Day of ADMA Primary

Turin, Italy - October 2018 - On 21 October, the XXVIII Marian Day of the ADMA Primary took place, attended by several groups from the Piedmont Province, Valle d'Aosta Province and neighboring Provinces. Following the celebration were talks by Fr Eusebio Muñoz, Delegate of the Rector Major for the Salesian Family, and the presentation of the New Book of Mary Help of Christians "All the generations will call me Blessed", curated by Fr Pierluigi Cameroni, Postulator General for the Causes of Saints and the Christian Family and ADMA Spritual Animator. In the afternoon there was still time for the interventions of two FMA religious, the recitation of the Rosary prayed by the young, and the Eucharist wherein a dozen new ADMA members took up their commitment to join.

Krakow, Poland - October 2018 – Taking place on 13 October was the XIV Pilgrimage in the footsteps of Karol Wojtyła, attended by hundreds of pilgrims among faithful, male and female religious of the Salesian parish of St. Stanislaus Kostka, in Krakow-Dębniki, and of other parishes, including non-Salesian, of various cities. The pilgrimage retraced the route that Karol Wojtyła did when, during the Second World War, he went from Dębniki to the stone quarries of Zakrzówek, where he worked. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Pope Wojtyła's pontificate, the "John Paul II Center" in Łagiewniki, the final destination of the pilgrimage, organized a week of celebrations culminating with the liturgical feast of St. John Paul II, which is celebrated today October 22nd.

Darjeeling, India - October 2018 - The Department of Sociology of the "Salesian College Sonada" in Darjeeling, Calcutta (INC) Province, organized "Ethnic Day 2018" on October 15, with the participation of teachers and students. The event included a program of talks, presentations, artistic exhibitions and culinary art demonstrations by representatives of the area's various ethnic groups.
