Poland - XIV Pilgrimage in footsteps of Karol Wojtyła, the worker
Krakow, Poland - October 2018 – Taking place on 13 October was the XIV Pilgrimage in the footsteps of Karol Wojtyła, attended by hundreds of pilgrims among faithful, male and female religious of the Salesian parish of St. Stanislaus Kostka, in Krakow-Dębniki, and of other parishes, including non-Salesian, of various cities. The pilgrimage retraced the route that Karol Wojtyła did when, during the Second World War, he went from Dębniki to the stone quarries of Zakrzówek, where he worked. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Pope Wojtyła's pontificate, the "John Paul II Center" in Łagiewniki, the final destination of the pilgrimage, organized a week of celebrations culminating with the liturgical feast of St. John Paul II, which is celebrated today October 22nd.
