Guadalajara, Mexico – February 2024 – On 17 and 18 February he city of Guadalajara hosted the Assembly of Salesian Cooperators Local Councils in the Province of Mexico North. The meeting was attended by representatives of the seven areas that make up the Province, 56 participants in all. The central theme of the Assembly took up that of the Rector Major's Strenna 2024: "The Dream that makes you dream", and was illustrated to those present by the Provincial Coordinator, Alfredo Algandar Alvarado. The theme was then further explored by Gabriela Ruiz, while Cynthia Verónica Zarate Ojeda illustrated the question of assertive communication. During the meeting, then, there were moments of prayer and group work, in which the importance of living and creating communities was stressed. The objectives of the Salesian Cooperators were also highlighted, namely the accompaniment, listening and education of children, adolescents and young adults. Finally, the Assembly ended with the promise of a new Salesian Cooperator.

Pieszyce, Poland – February 2024 - the Youth Formation Meeting took place in the picturesque town of Pieszyce, from 23 to 25 February 2024, a unique event that brought together young people from various parts of the Salesian Province of Wrocław, Poland (PLO). Through various activities, more than 30 participants, from Środa Śląska, Tarnowskie Góry, Lubin, Wrocław and Twardogóra have developed their personality and skills as leaders in a process aimed above all at spiritual growth during Lent.

Bogotá, Colombia – February 2024 - From 23 to 25 February, the young people of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) met at the national level with their national and provincial leaders, and with the Delegates for Youth Ministry in Salesian Colombia. The meeting had the objective of forming, building, dreaming, believing and sharing together the mission to which the young people from the SYM were called through Don Bosco and Mary Mazzarello. The Salesians of Colombia continue to see that through humility, strength and constancy, the Christian and charismatic experience of the SYM continues to result in pastoral energy in the young people from their works, making them authentic Missionary Disciples.

Poxoréu, Brazil – February 2024 – On 24 February, the activities of the Pibuiwena Arte Xavante Project began at the São João Batista Youth Centre, in Poxoréu, in the State of Mato Grosso, belonging to the Salesian Province of Brazil-Campo Grande (BCG). The main objective of the initiative is to promote the production of indigenous crafts among indigenous families living in the urban area of the city, also to help improve the financial income of this segment of the population. The project will also serve to form local indigenous populations on topics such as financial education, craft prices, interpersonal relationships and customer service, and at the end of this course a certificate will be issued to the participants. The formation takes place through groups of dialogue and exchange and the activities of the project will be publicised through social networks, other media and photographic testimonies, filming, institutional videos and testimonies of the participants. Enhancing local culture, the Pibuiwena Arte Xavante project also includes traditional cultural presentations. To make its actions feasible, the organisation has used resources to create personalised T-shirts and labels, packaging and consumables for the workshops. The initiative has the support of the Legislative Assembly of Mato Grosso, through an amendment by former deputy Xuxu dal Molin, and the Secretariat of Culture, Sports and Leisure (SECEL) of the State of Mato Grosso.

Mogliano Veneto, Italy – February 2024 - Sunday 25 February 2024 at the Astori Salesian house in Mogliano Veneto, about a thousand young people participated in the Triveneto SYM Youth Meeting entitled: "Beyond the wall. On the road of dreams”. The day was full of joy, with a welcome involving dances and moments of play. A focal point was the show created by the young people themselves, who wanted to show how it is possible to build a dream of peace, breaking down the walls of fears and prejudices, courageously facing conflicts. Two young people participating in the "Swallow - Citadel of Peace" Project, located in Arezzo, offered their testimony: both from Bosnia, which experienced a hard conflict in the 1990s, told their personal story and their dreams of peace, starting from the encounter with the other and from the choice to take the first step towards the "enemy". At the centre of the day was the Eucharistic celebration, presided over by Fr Igino Biffi, Superior of the Salesian Province of Italy-North East (INE), who invited young people to dream big, to aim high, to let themselves be accompanied by Jesus to put into practice and with Him fulfil his dream of peace for humanity. Finally, the day continued in Oratory style, with games, stands, moments of reflection and prayer, in which every young person could freely participate.

Barinas, Venezuela – February 2024 – As part of the Extraordinary Visitation to the Salesian Province of Venezuela (VEN), from 22 to 25  February Fr Hugo Orozco, Councilor for the Interamerica Region, visited the Salesian Agricultural Technical School at Barinas. The students welcomed him with the words of the President of the student organisation, who expressed his gratitude for these 40 years of presence of the Salesians in Barinas, forming good Christians and upright citizens. In a festive and joyful atmosphere, Fr Orozco shared a cultural evening with the Salesian community and the technical and teaching staff  involving the typical dances of the area and showcasing the students. The invitation, from the Damas Salesianas Association in Barinas, was also attended by the Ruta Salesiana (Salesian Way) Youth Group. In the following days the Regional Councillor also had the opportunity to visit the church of the Patroness of Venezuela, Our Lady of Coromoto near Guanare, and there he celebrated the Eucharist. At the end of the last day in Barinas, Fr Orozco was greeted with a pleasant evening of songs and joropo dances.
