(ANS - Turin) - This year’s Salesian Missionary Expedition had a new Missionary Cross which is set to become part of a tradition, because from now on this will be the cross that the missionaries will receive each year. Here is a brief description of the different elements and their meaning:
(ANS - Rome) - During the six year period from 2008 to 2014, the Youth Ministry Department ran a series of four seminars, 2010-2013 (Spiritual accompaniment. Salesian Spiritual-Educational work at the service of the young), on the theme of spiritual direction, which were attended by some experts on the subject. After the positive experience of these meetings, many Salesians have asked to be part of the way forward in this important theme of Salesian ministry. For this reason the Department for Youth Ministry is now offering a new course for Salesian educational-pastoral service: a seminar on the theme "Accompanying the Life of Prayer" to be held at the Salesianum, Rome, 16-20 November 2016.
(ANS – Bruxelles) – On 27th September, Bro. Giacomo Comino, Salesian missionary working in the Salesian Mission Office in Juba, South Sudan, arrived in Brussels to explain to several stakeholders the emergency situation that thousands of south Sudanese people are facing and the work being done by the Salesians in the country, as a joint effort of the AFE Province and Don Bosco International.
