The day continued with an address by Fr. Jean Paul Bethancourt, who was accompanied by two young representatives from the province who had attended the Salesian Youth Synod in Turin in 2024. They shared significant experiences about the impact of the Synod on youth ministry.
Additionally, the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) delegation from Central America presented their journey of preparing for the Youth Jubilee. Another highlight of the event was Fr. Marcelo Navarrete’s presentation on the preparations for the 150th anniversary of the First Salesian Missionary Expedition, a milestone in the congregation's history.
During the event, Sr. Sandra Yela, Provincial of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA) in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama, and Sr. Amarilis Orozco, Superior of the Daughters of the Divine Savior, sent messages of greetings to the participants.
The event began with a prayer led by Sr. Lydia Florez, FMA, from Panama, and was moderated by Fr. Guido Maroto and Fabricio Umaña, SSCC, from Costa Rica. Later, participants were divided into groups to reflect on three key questions related to the Strenna’s theme.
The event was organized by Fr. René Santos, Vice Provincial and Salesian Family Coordinator for Central America, in collaboration with the Central American Salesian Family Commission.
