(ANS - Bethlehem) - Bethlehem, "the City of Bread"; and then Nazareth, the city of Mary. In the two cities, so charged with value and meaning for every Christian, the Salesians have a long history of service, education, and proximity to the local population.
(ANS - Naples) - The "Don Bosco" Salesian community of Naples welcomed 14 more unaccompanied foreign minors who landed on Monday morning, May 29, at the city port. These children add to the 15 children already present in the "Il Ponte" reception community inaugurated last January 23.
(ANS - Dungalpityia) - With the arrival of the South-West monsoon in Sri Lanka, major floods and landslides were unleashed across the island. According to the Disaster Management Center, there were at least 202 deaths and 96 people missing, with over 77,000 people displaced and more than 1,500 homes destroyed. A Salesian House was also affected by floods and landslides with a perimeter wall collapsed; meanwhile, the Salesians are at work helping people affected by the flood.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

Dear friends and readers, members of the Salesian Family, for this month's greeting in the Salesian Bulletin I will focus on a very important event that the Salesian Congregation is holding presently: General Chapter XXIX. This assembly, the most important one that the Congregation can experience, occurs every six years along the Salesian Congregation’s journey.
