(ANS – Port-au-Prince) – The Feast of Mary Help of Christians this year 2017 was celebrated in a very special way by the Salesians in Haiti, thanks to the presence of Cardinal Chibly Langlois, Bishop of Les Cayes, who presided over the Eucharist at the “Saint François de Sales” Institute of Philosophy in Port-au-Prince. This also offered the opportunity to celebrate two great events concerning the Institute: its recognition by the Haitian government and its affiliation to the Salesian Pontifical University (UPS) in Rome.
(ANS – Mongomo) – May 20th, 2017, will be remembered as a fundamental stage for the history of the Church in Equatorial Guinea: in fact, in Mongomo, Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, presided over the solemn Eucharistic concelebration for the ordination of three bishops and the inauguration of two new dioceses. Among the ordained prelates there is also Salesian confrère Miguel Angel Nguema Bee, SDB, who yesterday, May 24th, on the occasion of the feast of Mary Help of Christians, took possession of his dioceses, Ebebiyin.
(ANS – Turin) – Mary as a missionary disciple, Help of Christians because she is the most direct way to reach Jesus: Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, Recgor Major of the Salesians, yesterday, May 24th, renewed his personal Marian devotion and the one of the thousands of faithful present in Valdocco on the occasion of the Feast of Mary Help of Christians, recalling the essential traits of the “Mother of Jesus”, who with maternal care always leads back men and women to Her Son.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.
