(ANS – Cebu) – “Our congregation is 163 years old and our very own Philippine South Province is 25 - quite a long stretch of time in between. But through it all, we have our Salesian identity as the tie that binds us in ageless prominence.” So began the speech of Fr. Godofredo Atienza, SDB, the current Provincial of Mary Help of Christians Province (FIS), for the FIS 25th Anniversary.
(ANS - Rome) - Several Salesian works, with UNICEF support, have launched a new project over the past few weeks to meet the needs of unaccompanied foreign minors who, socially-speaking, are at serious risk. For them, the Salesians thought of the "La Perla project. Starting over from the streets". To remember that every young person is precious.
(ANS - Comodoro Rivadavia) - As part of the "Service Experience" project, the students of the "Domingo Savio" Salesian Institute of Comodoro Rivadavia have carried out the cleaning and repairs of the city's kindergarten facilities, hit by floods during the month of April.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”
(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

Dear friends and readers, members of the Salesian Family, for this month's greeting in the Salesian Bulletin I will focus on a very important event that the Salesian Congregation is holding presently: General Chapter XXIX. This assembly, the most important one that the Congregation can experience, occurs every six years along the Salesian Congregation’s journey.
