(ANS – Rome) – As part of the section dedicated to presenting the missionaries of the 155th Salesian Missionary Expedition, today it is Fr Marijan Zovak, a Croatian Salesian priest, destined for the Dominican Republic, who tells us something about his missionary vocation and his dreams. "The dream that the Lord placed in me gradually urged me to leave everything and give myself completely, as Don Bosco did."
(ANS – Rome) – Along with the new missionaries, among those who took part in the Corso Germoglio and the 155th Salesian Missionary Expedition, there are three missionaries from past expeditions who had not been able to participate in the course and delivery of the missionary crucifix in the recent past. Among them, Elisé Tuungane Nzibi, a Congolese missionary in the Province of Southern Italy.
(ANS – Rome) – In Valdocco and Colle Don Bosco, where so much Salesian history and fidelity has passed, the Salesian Youth Synod studied a proposal for the entire Salesian world. This was done by 375 people, mostly young people belonging to 94 nationalities, boys and girls of an average age of 23, from many nations, with different cultures and languages, but all with the same faith and the same intense commitment to the work started by Don Bosco.
(ANS – Rome) – In preparation for General Chapter 29 (GC29), scheduled in Valdocco, Turin from 16 February to 12 April 2025 on the theme "PASSIONATE ABOUT JESUS CHRIST, DEDICATED TO YOUNG PEOPLE. Living our Salesian vocation faithfully and prophetically ", the Pre-Chapter Commission undertook a journey of listening and prayer, to collect and order the numerous proposals received from Salesians around the world.
(ANS – Rome) – 30 September 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the death and 120th anniversary of the birth of the Servant of God Andrej Majcen, a Slovenian Salesian, missionary in China and founder of the Salesian presence in Vietnam.
(ANS – Rome) – "Walking together: Changing to continue" is the motto and also the guideline that will accompany the work of the Extraordinary World General Assembly of the World Confederation of Past Pupils of Don Bosco, scheduled from Wednesday 2 October 2024 until the following Sunday, 6 October, and which will symbolically take place at the Mother House of the entire Salesian Family, in Valdocco, Turin. The event, the ultimate sign of the unity of the Association of Past Pupils of Don Bosco, the largest group in the Salesian Family in terms of numbers, is attended by about 200 people, representing 40 countries from five continents.

The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

India – INS youth solemnise Don Bosco’s Feast Day with ‘Ka Sur Kynud S-3’ Grand Finale
(ANS – Shillong) – The Youth of St John Paul II, Shillong Province, celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Bosco with the Grand Finale of “Ka Sur Kynud, Season 3.” Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television, the Social Communication Department of the Province, at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, this two-month-long singing competition, which imitates the global singing competition The Voice, concluded on 31 January 2025, coinciding with the Solemnity of St John Bosco.
