(ANS – Bolton) – A new Salesian project aims to equip young adults with the skills they need to make important decisions in a world that is increasingly filled with uncertainty and competing choices. Rooted in the Christian tradition of discernment, but open to young adults of all faiths and none, the “Signposts programme” has been created by Fr David O’Malley SDB, drawing on the Salesian experience in working with the young.
(ANS - Port-au-Prince) - Hurricane Matthew has passed. The number of those confirmed dead in Haiti is approximately 840 to date. UNICEF has confirmed that the danger of epidemics looms ever larger. The Salesians have been hit hard at the work in Les Cayes, but the Superior, Fr Jean Paul Mesidor, has released a video confirming that the work of the Sons of Don Bosco among young people will continue unabated. He also thanks those who show solidarity and support.
Tlazala, Mexico - September 2016 - From 23 to 25 September two retreats took place: the first level Evangelization Retreat of the Salesian Youth Movement, and the second level Retreat for young members of the Salesian Leaders Project. The event was attended by 213 young people and pastoral workers, and was led by the Salesians and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.
