(ANS - Rome) - On May 9, 1876, Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, Don Bosco’s plan to form a lay branch of people committed to the education and salvation of the neediest young people received the seal of Pope Pius IX. (ANS - Salamanca) - The visit of the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, is a source of energy and motivation for the Salesians and in a very special way it is an encouragement from the Successor of Don Bosco to every Son of Don Bosco. The visit to the parish of Fr Ángel García, founder of Mensajeros de la Paz, was very special. He asked for the opportunity to greet the Rector Major personally and asked him to bless a statue of Don Bosco, saying: "I love Don Bosco and the Salesian Family because they taught me values such as equality and solidarity. These are the values that we seek to spread at this church of St Anthony."
(ANS - Aleppo) - While international agencies report that the truce of 72 hours in Aleppo, proclaimed after the intense fighting of recent days, has already been violated, Fr Pier Jabloyan, Salesian of Aleppo, spoke in an interview about how he sees the current war, the young people, the present and the future, everyday life in time of armed conflict ... and on what is, ultimately, "the true meaning of Salesian life."
