“Efficient Teacher for the 21st Century” is a book authored by octogenarian Salesian Father Kuriala Chittattukalam, useful as a manual for teachers to make their teaching effective, meaningful and worthwhile for students, with very relevant topics which will be of great use to the teachers to make their teaching-learning process enjoyable and efficient.

“What legacy are we leaving behind?” the author asks to us: in so saying, he implicitly intended that writing a book is leaving a legacy of wisdom and experiences for future generations. Thus, he invited also everyone to write and share their knowledge and experience.

Fr. Kuriala Chittattukalam, SDB, is the former Executive Secretary of Education & Culture of Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India, New Delhi (2006-2012). At present he is serving in Don Bosco School, Barpeta Road. He had been working in different Don Bosco educational institutions as the Head of the institution for the last 40 years. His workshops and seminars for teachers and principals on School administration and teaching were much appreciated. His knowledge and experience in the field of Clinical Psychotherapy, Personology and Energy Healing has augmented his grasp on teaching and school administration. His understanding of Don Bosco’s system of Education based on ‘Reason, Religion and Kindness’ has helped him to deal with youth pleasantly and guide them in their physical, mental, social and spiritual growth.
