(ANS – Rome) –The Episcopal Ordination of two eminent sons of Don Bosco, Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, the Rector Major of the Salesian Congregation and Titular Archbishop-elect of Ursona, and Archbishop Giordano Piccinotti, Titular Archbishop-elect of Gradisca and President of the Administration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic See (APSA) took place in the Papal Basilica of St. Mary Major this evening at 3:30 p.m.

Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco, Archbishop Titular elect of Ursona, and of Archbishop Giordano Piccinotti, Archbishop Titular elect of Gradisca, President of the Administration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic See (APSA), ANS is pleased to announce the decree of "deroga" that the Holy Father Pope Francis sent to the Rector Major yesterday, 19 April 2024. 

(ANS – Ahmednagar) – Salesian missionaries with “Bosco Vikas Gramin Kendra” were able to support children in migrant communities in the Central Maharashtra region of India thanks to funding from Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco.

(ANS) – An online meeting was held on Thursday 18 April 2024 between the General Councillor for Social Communication, Fr Gildasio Mendes, and the heads of the different areas of Salesian communication in the Americas in the continuous commitment to promote effective and aligned communication.

(ANS – Rome) – Hope, faith and charity: the theological virtues, in this order, are the heart of the pastoral proposal for the three-year period 2024/2027 for the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM). After the three-year period that is about to end, the SYM wants to remain close to young people, continuing to grow together as Salesian Italy. In the process that led to the drafting of this document, it was essential to share discernment with Salesians, Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Salesian Cooperators and the associations promoted and co-promoted by the national centres, in particular the Sociocultural Youth Cinecircles (CGS) and Youth and Social Tourism (TGS).
