(ANS – Barranquilla) – "Misiones Salesianas", the Salesian Mission Office based in Madrid, in collaboration with the Spanish television program TVE called "Pueblo de Dios", went to Colombia last November to take up the work of the Salesians and the Salesian Family in the country and make documentaries on what they are actually doing, such as in Bogotá, Agua de Dios, Barranquilla and Cali.

(ANS – Paris) – Sport, a place of self-improvement and encounter with others, has a central place (together with the artistic disciplines and music) in Salesian houses. Sports figures, sports sections, values and educational principles: in Salesian houses, sport is everywhere. The opening of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which will take place in a few days in France, is an opportunity to take stock of the situation.

(ANS – Subiaco) – On the weekend between Friday 19 and Monday 22 July, the Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco, Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, and the other members of the General Council went to the house of prayer at San Biagio, near Subiaco, for a weekend of silence and prayer.

(ANS – Santiago) – "The implementation of this tool helps us to be in tune with this global phenomenon in the perspective of its integration at the service of educational, pastoral and communicative processes." This is how Vicente Fritz, Social Communication Delegate for the St Gabriel Archangel Province of Chile (CIL) explains the impact that is expected to be achieved through the recent launch of "NewsFeed", a tool developed by the Technology sector of the Communication Area of the CIL Province.

(ANS - Ashaiman) Salesians in Ghana had the support they need to facilitate pastoral work and social programs thanks to donor funding from Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco. The St. Joseph Province in Ashaiman received funding to purchase a car so that Salesians could travel among the Salesian centers in Ghana, Togo, Liberia, Sierra Leone and the Ivory Coast. This enables Salesians to meet the needs of the various communities efficiently.

(ANS – Meruri) – The sixth edition of the Salesian Missionary Academic Volunteering (VAMS) project, promoted by the UniSalesiano Salesian institution of higher education in the Campo Grande Province of Brazil (BCG) brought together 50 participants, the highest number recorded in all editions, consolidating the significant participation of professors, students, coordinators and pastoral agents from the Salesian university. The group left Araçatuba for Mato Grosso on the evening of 27 June 2024 and returned to their headquarters on the morning of 8 July, after visiting and offering their services in the indigenous villages of Meruri, inhabited by the Bororo population, and São Marcos, inhabited by the Xavante population.
