(ANS - Turin) - On the evening of Monday, 22 January, Fr Francesco Motto, the 76 years old Director Emeritus of the Salesian Historical Institute, and author of several researches and books, explained his perspective of the dream of Don Bosco at the age of nine, at the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians, Turin. He underlined it as an authentic call from God made in 1824 to a child, and recounted fifty years later, in a more refined and matured language. He considers it as “a summary script of an entire existence spent for the new generations in the name of Jesus and Mary”. Seen by this historian, Don Bosco's 'dream at the age of nine' has the contours of true facts and effuses an evocative power of a literary page.
(ANS – Rome) – In the year in which the entire Salesian Family focuses on Don Bosco's Dream at Nine Years of Age, many other small dreams are arising in the Salesian world, carried out by those who call on him for the education and evangelisation of young people. This explains, for example, the new initiative that is being developed at Sacred Heart in Rome: the first Salesian Symphony Orchestra (OSS), a project, moreover, still in its embryonic phase, but which has already received the blessing and explicit support of Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians.
