Born on 14 June 1967 in Makati Rizal, Philippines, Fr Javines Ronilo Aguilar entered the Salesian novitiate in Canlubang on 1 April 1986 and professed his first vows there on 1 April 1987. He professed his perpetual vows on 24 March 1993 in Parañaque, where he was also ordained a priest on 8 December 1995.
In his journey as a Salesian has has served in the St John Bosco parish community in Makati (1996-2007), then in Legazpi, at the Banquerohan centre where he was also the Economer (2015-16) and Rector (2016-20), and finally in Mandaluyong, where he has been Rector since 2020.
For the FIN Province, he has always been involved in youth ministry, being part of the Provincial Delegation team with various tasks and on several occasions (2005-07; 2017-ongoing).
The Province of the Philippines North currently has 148 Salesians (117 Priests, 16 Brothers, 12 Students (Clerics) who serve the missions entrusted to 25 communities which run academic and vocational schools, parishes and formation centres. It is a strong Province with 100 SDB’s at working age (36-70) and a good number of incoming young candidates for Salesian consecrated life. The Province has also taken on the mission in Kuching (Malaysia) with a community of 4 confreres. 11 active groups of the Salesian Family are an apostolic force in the Church which cares for poor youth. It also has centres for Salesians in initial formation at Canlubang (Postnovitiate) and Paranaque (Theologate, Specific Formation for Brothers and School of Theology)
