Spain - Pinardi Association supports the careers of 150 young people

03 June 2016

(ANS - Madrid) - The social project "First Professional Experience", run by the Pinardi Association and funded by the JP Morgan Chase Foundation, in its first year has improved the possibilities for employment of 90 young people. Thanks to its innovative model, through which the young participants acquire skills and work experience in large companies such as Cardamomo, Accenture Foundation, Grupo Vips, Hilton Madrid Airport, KFC, Meliá Hotels International, Parques Reunidos, Serunion and UPS, more than 65% of the participants of the first course have been granted an employment contract.

The First Professional Experience project is based on the development of professional experience in a real work environment, in catering, tourism, leisure and logistics, with the collaboration of partner companies in each sector. The young people who participate receive internal training from companies. This is complemented by language training modules, financial education, and digital skills.

Various personalities from the world of public administration spoke at the presentation of the objectives and new initiatives of the project for the 2016-2017 year. However, the main people involved were young people who, thanks to this collaboration between the Pinardi Association and JP Morgan Chase Foundation, will now be able to enter the world of work.

The event was opened by the President of JP Morgan for Spain and Portugal, Ignacio de la Colina. He said that "we work together to achieve the goals we have set - administration, companies from different sectors and non-governmental organizations".

Javier Llorente, President of the Pinardi Association, thanked the JP Morgan Chase Foundation and associated companies, which through the project offer the young people opportunities that produce real changes in their lives."

Some aspects of the advanced programme of Professional Development were then presented.  One innovation is the First Professional Experience project aimed at young people who participated in the first course. Thanks to the cooperation of member companies and the Pinardi Association, young people receive intensive training in a comprehensive program that will give them greater job stability and social integration.

Finally, various administrative authorities emphasized the importance of the Pinardi Association for disadvantaged people and especially young people at risk.
