Bogotá, Colombia – October 2024 – On 18 October, at the Salesian León XIII College belonging to the Province of Bogotá Colombia (COB), the first Entrepreneurial Association Fair was held, a plce where ideas are converted into projects in the style of Don Bosco. The fair is the result of Saleisan group work which promotes teamwork and service as a reflection of God's love among young people. "From the beginning, we promoted Salesian youth leadership, encouraging our students to develop their talents in projects with Salesian values. Each group participated enthusiastically, applying collaborative work, critical thinking and communication skills to respond to the needs of the community,” say the organisers. "Entrepreneurship in the Salesian spirit is more than creating companies, it is a tool of service. Being a Salesian entrepreneur means having creativity, resilience and passion to transform the environment. Each group presented its own entrepreneurial projects, demonstrating that in this house ‘We educate with our hearts’".

Krakow, Poland – October 2024 – The journalism workshop entitled "Good Writing Workshop" was held on 26 October at the Salesian Seminary in Krakow, organised by Fr Dariusz Bartocha, SDB, Delegate for Social Communication in the Province of Krakow (PLS). The "Workshop for Good Scripture" was attended by young people, lay people and Salesians from various communities in the PLS Province, led by experts in Artificial Intelligence and personalities from the Catholic media. Organised over three sessions, plus time for evaluation, the workshop was held with the aim of developing the journalistic and writing skills of the participants in order to increase their quality. Under the guidance of Maciej Kwaśniewski, Krzysztof Wencki and Fr Józef Kloch, they were introduced to the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools such as "Chat GPT", "Canva" and "Claude", which can facilitate the creation of content and graphics; the importance of creating well-connected suggestions, fundamental when working with AI tools. In subsequent meetings, participants will deepen their knowledge and additional skills.

Veržej, Slovenia – October 2024 - The Salesian Days in the Sts Cyril and Methodius province of Slovenia (SLO), are intended for communion and prayer among Salesians, explore the chosen theme and to discuss the current issues of the Province. This year they took place from 20 to 22 October in Veržej, with the main theme of psycho-physical health. About forty Salesians gathered to listen to psychotherapist Dr Uroš Perko on the care of mental health at a personal and community level, which raised many concrete questions about the relationships, well-being, coexistence and forms of dependence of those present. In the discussion groups led by the Provincial, Fr Peter Končan, and by the Provincial Delegates of the various Sectors, plans for the future were discussed. The third cycle was dedicated to the verification of physical health, led by the staff from the Ljutomer Health Promotion Centre, in which the Salesians, in addition to the professional approach and treatment, were able to discover deficiencies in the care of their own health. According to the final interview of participants, the meeting was useful and necessary to build and consolidate membership in the Salesian community, an opportunity for a short retreat and to refresh knowledge and concern for an orderly life. It is the wish of all that such meetings continue in the future.

Maputo, Mozambique - October 2024 - From 19 to 23 October, Salesian economers from various Provinces and Vice-Provinces in Africa-Madagascar met for a four-day meeting within the framework of the Conference of Provinces and Vice-Provinces in Africa-Madagascar (CIVAM). This session, the fourth CIVAM meeting of 2024, was hosted by the Mary Help of Christians Vice-Province in Mozambique and coordinated by Fr Tharaniyil George, Superior of the Province of East Africa (AFE). Ten economers participated in discussions focused on the current state of financial management in their Provinces. In addition, some entrepreneurs presented insights into effective economic strategies and the use of software tools such as "Bosco Soft" and "Primavera" to improve accounting practices and ensure transparency. During the meeting, the participants also decided on the location of next year's meeting and selected the topic for future discussions.
