Mozambique – Meeting of economers from Africa-Madagascar
Maputo, Mozambique - October 2024 - From 19 to 23 October, Salesian economers from various Provinces and Vice-Provinces in Africa-Madagascar met for a four-day meeting within the framework of the Conference of Provinces and Vice-Provinces in Africa-Madagascar (CIVAM). This session, the fourth CIVAM meeting of 2024, was hosted by the Mary Help of Christians Vice-Province in Mozambique and coordinated by Fr Tharaniyil George, Superior of the Province of East Africa (AFE). Ten economers participated in discussions focused on the current state of financial management in their Provinces. In addition, some entrepreneurs presented insights into effective economic strategies and the use of software tools such as "Bosco Soft" and "Primavera" to improve accounting practices and ensure transparency. During the meeting, the participants also decided on the location of next year's meeting and selected the topic for future discussions.
