Vietnam – First Profession of Augustine Pham Van Long
Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam – November 2024 – On 13 November, the Feast of Saint Artemides Zatti, the Sacred Heart Novitiate in Ba Thon joyfully celebrated the First Profession of Salesian Augustine Pham Van Long. The celebration was presided over by Fr Barnabas Le An Phong, Superior of the Salesian Province of Vietnam, and concelebrated by numerous Salesians. In his homily, Fr Barnabas recalled that being Salesians means embracing the concerns of young people, especially the poorest and the abandoned. At the end of the day, which was also an opportunity to celebrate Saint Artemides Zatti, Augustine participated, with his family and the Salesians present, in a moment of fraternal agape.
