Kinshasa, D.R. Congo - March 2022 - The members of the committee of the "Salesian Senior Missionary Group" of the Africa Congo Vice Province (ACC) met on March 13 to study, analyze and discuss the theme of Salesian Missionary Day: "Communicating Christ today - #MissionariesinNetwork". During the meeting, concrete ways were also sought to be more present in evangelization through social networks to communicate Christ today. On this occasion, Fr Jacques, the Salesian who accompanies the group, presented the figure of St. Francis de Sales as a zealous missionary who widely used the media of his time to spread the good news of gentleness and pastoral charity. The "Salesian Senior Missionary Group" brings together young people from the ACC Vice Province, mostly students, as well as some young workers. The group's objective is to start from Don Bosco's missionary impulse to accompany young people to live their faith in their daily lives, and thus spread the fundamental elements of every missionary: love and imitation of Christ, the Gospel lived in availability, self-denial, service and charity.
