The main goal of the training was to equip TVET managers with skills and competencies to manage TVET centres effectively and efficiently. They were also equipped with skills to conduct similar training in their respective centres and Provinces. Different training methodologies were used which included presentations, webinar, role plays, study visit, digital online tools, group discussions, brainstorming, videos, appreciative interview, among others.
The ITC-ILO team led by Stephano Merante, expressed their gratitude to the participants for their active participation during the sessions and their zeal to learn. He urged the participants to use the skills and competencies gained to transform Don Bosco TVET centres in Africa and Madagascar.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, Fr. Herrera Martinez sdb, remarked that the expertise gained will be utilized duly to ensure the face of Don Bosco TVET centres in Africa and Madagascar changes for the better. He went on to thank DBTech Africa and ITC-ILO team for organizing the training.
Don Bosco Tech Africa has trained sixty-three Salesian TVET center management and staff as part of the Trainers Of Trainers program.
The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) supported this training through Don Bosco Mondo in Bonn.
