Meruri, Brazil - June 2016 - In June, some young people from the Salesian parish of "São Gonçalo" went on a missionary visit to Meruri, to the Salesian mission among the ethnic Bororo Indians. The young people were able to learn the story of the martyrs of Meruri, Fr Rodolfo Lunkenbein, SDB, and Simão Cristino Koge Ekudugodu, himself a Bororo. They went through the Holy Door for the Jubilee of Mercy, and carried out various social activities with the indigenous children and young people.
