Slovakia - Missionary mandate for ten young volunteers
Žilina, Slovakia - June 26, 2016 - The Salesians of Slovakia, a small country with a big missionary heart, are responsible for some significant outposts, such as those in Siberia and Azerbaijan. Their spirit is shared by the laity. For more than ten years young people from the Salesian organization "SAVIO" have been going abroad for missionary volunteer experiences. On Sunday 26 June, at Žilina, after careful discernment ten young people received the missionary cross and will go to work in Angola, Azerbaijan, Mexico and Kenya and among the Roma in Slovakia. Apart from these, another 50 young Slovaks will go this summer on a mission to Ukraine and 20 others will be working with the Roma community in Slovakia.
