Krakow, Poland - March 2016 - On 29 March, with a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr Tadeusz Rozmus, Councillor for the Region of Central and Northern Europe, the Salesians of the Province of Krakow (PLS) celebrated the official opening of the Provincial Chapter, on the theme "Witnesses of evangelical radicalism". The Moderator of the Chapter is Fr Marcin Kaznowski, and the President is the Provincial, Fr Dariusz Bartocha. 

Rome, Italy - April 2016 - Today, 1 April, sees the end of the second session of the Provincial Chapter of Central Italy (ICC), presided over by Fr Leonardo Mancini, Superior ICC, and with Fr Gian Luigi Pussino as Moderator.

New York, UN – March 2016 – Salesian participation in the 60th Commission on the Status of Women was a collaborative endeavor that led to three written interventions and three parallel events prepared by Fr. Tom Brennan, SDB, the Salesian Representative at the United Nations in New York, on diverse topics that have a major impact on the lives of girls and women: violence in its many forms; HIV infection; Trafficking of Girls and Women; the Human Right to Water and Sanitation; access to power; discrimination and stigma. Additionally, Fr. Brennan and Sr. Runita Borja, FMA, General Counsellor for Youth Ministry, attended a number of other events and meetings held during the commission, networking with other advocates for the rights of girls and women from around the world.
