Rome, Italy – February 2017 – From February 16th to 19th, the Salesian Provinces of Italy are gathered at the Salesianum in Rome for a national congress of Educative-Pastoral Communities (EPC) on the theme “Turning Every EPC into the House and the School of Communion”. Fifteen persons from each Province, among lay and religious people, discuss on the work done for an exchange of experiences and paths.
Dimapur, India – February 8, 2017 – Around 20 Young at Risk (YAR) delegates from eleven Salesian provinces of India took part in a daylong animation that centered around “Concerns and Issues of YAR in India”.
Taipei, Taiwan - 8 February 2017 - This year of 2017 is the milestone for St John Bosco Parish in Taipei, stepping into the 50th year of it's life. Our Catholic community is located in the center of Taipei dedicated in preaching and witnessing the Gospel of Jesus and the service to the community of Taiwan in the spirit of Don Bosco: “Give me souls and take away the rest”. The Golden Jubilee celebrations were opened on 5th of February having Don Bosco in our midst: the casket with the Relics of Don Bosco arrived from Hong Kong. From 5th February until 16th April 2017
San Paolo, Brasile – February 11th, 2017 – On February 11th, Fr. Natale Vitali, Councillor of America South Cone Region, presided over the meeting of the Salesian Provincials of Brazil.
Seville, Spain – February 2017 – On February 14th, at the Proposal-Community “Bartolomé Blanco” of Seville there was the encounter of the commissions of vocations’ animation of Spain and Italy. The objective was to work and reflect together to create synergies within the vocation context among the Salesian Provinces of both countries.
Lahore, Pakistan – 8 February 2017 – The “Don Bosco Technical Center Lahore” has finally its own new website. This a fruits of three months hard work of the school team and it was launched on the feast day of St. John Bosco. The Vicar General of Lahore Archdiocese, Fr. Francis Gulzarcese of Lahore inaugurated the site personally. Even the Archbishop of Lahore Sebastian Francis Shaw, OFM, congratulated for the launch and left a message, where he affirm also: “The youth is not learning only technical skills in Don Bosco but they also gain knowledge of ethics, Spirituality and principles of life.” Everyone can find almost everything about the work and all the activities of the Salesian center on the site: www.donboscolahore.com
