Krakow, Poland - February 2017 - The sixth meeting of teachers and managers of Salesian schools and vocational training centres in Europe was held on 16-17 February.  The meeting was promoted by the Office for Schools and Vocational Training in the Department for Youth Ministry and was attended by 33 people. The objective was to update the plan and the 2014-2020 European programmes and to search for partners to share project proposals. Currently the Salesian network numbers 70 people from 13 European countries.

Calcutta, India – 11 February 2017 -  Stephen Biswakarma, was ordained priest by Bishop Stephen Lepcha of Darjeeling. He is the first Salesian priest from the Himalayan state of Sikkim, in the Northeast of India. 

Mumbai, India – 11 February 2017 - On the occasion of the centenary of St. Joseph’s Salesian High School in Wadala, Mumbai, Fr Godfrey D'sa, dean of the institute, organized a Race for Peace which was attended by students from sixteen schools in Mumbai. The. guest of honour was Mir Ranjan Negi, former hockey player and coach of the Indian team.

Péliföldszentkereszt, Hungary - 19 February 2017 - The first members of the Salesian Missionary Volunteer Movement of the Province of Hungary (UNG) participated in a meeting on missionary formation with Fr. Alfred Maravilla from the Department of the Missions. The meeting was led by Fr Raja Derosi, Delegate for Missionary Animation in the Hungarian Province UNG.

Belo Horizonte, Brazil - February 2017 - From 15 to 17 February, the Meeting of the Provincial Pastoral Team took place online.  It included members of six provincial committees: Social Action, Missionary Animation, Social Communication, Education and Higher Education, Enculturation and Parishes. The meeting was led by Fr Orestes Fistarol, Provincial of Belo Horizonte, with the participation, among others, of Fr Daniel García from the Department for Youth Ministry.

Asunción, Paraguay - February 2017 - From 18 February, Fr. Natale Vitali, Councillor for the America Southern Cone Region, is doing the Extraordinary Visitation of the Province of Paraguay.  In the photo, Fr Vitali with the leaders of the oratory of the post-novitiate house.
