Santa Fe, Argentina - March 2017 - The Past Pupils’ of Don Bosco of Santa Fe started their annual activities with a meeting in the presence of Archbishop José Maria Arancedo of Santa Fe.  He urged them to live the Lenten season and to continue to grow as the inheritors of the teachings of Don Bosco.

Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea - March 2017 - On 19 March the inauguration took place of the new Superior of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands (PGS), Fr Alfred Maravilla. The celebration took place during the Eucharist presided over by Fr Václav Klement, Councillor for the East Asia-Oceania Region, and concelebrated by Fr Peter Baquero, SDB, whom Pope Francis has appointed bishop of the diocese of Kerema.

Mera, Ecuador - March 2017 - The Third Meeting of the Costa Volunteers of 2016 and 2017 was held from 8 to 10 March. It  was led by Fr Wladimir Acosta, Delegate for the Salesian Youth Ministry.  The objective was to evaluate the process to improve the proposal of the Youth Missionary Voluntary Service in the Salesian Family, to accompany young volunteers and to help them to continue their process of human and Christian formation.

Villarrica, Paraguay - March 9, 2017 - As part of the Extraordinary Visitation to the Province of Paraguay, Fr Natale Vitali, Councillor for the American Southern Cone Region, met with youth representatives of the groups of the Salesian Youth Movement of Villarrica. The Don Bosco Scouts and Friends of Dominic Savio attended the meeting, as well as Salesians and Oratory Leaders. Fr Vitali stressed the importance of youth groups and the vital role they play in Salesian houses, and at the same time, he urged young people to continue to grow in the charism of Don Bosco.

Lubumbashi, R.D. Congo - March 2017 - The First Africa-Madagascar Congress of the Past Pupils of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians took place on 9 March. The meeting was focused on the theme "Past pupils of the FMA in the family, the Church and Society", with participants coming from West Africa, Angola, Ethiopia, Kenya, Zambia and various parts of D. R. Congo.

Seville, Spain - March 2017 - On 12 March hundreds of people participated in the "Don Bosco Solidarity Race" in Seville. It was organized by the Holy Trinity Education Centre and the AMPA association.  The proceeds will go to the Don Bosco Solidarity Fund to improve the opportunities for children and young people in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
