Darkhan, Mongolia - April 2017 - A delegation of parliamentarians from the Czech Republic paid a surprise visit to the Don Bosco Centre in Darkhan, Mongolia, where the Czech Salesian Fr Jaroslav Vracovský has been working for almost a year.

Port-au-Prince, Haiti - April 2017 - On the 17th and 18th of April, the Superior of the Salesian Vice-Province of Haiti, Fr. Jean-Paul Mésidor, met all the Salesians of the Vice-Province to communicate the conclusions of the Team Visit held in Bolivia from 28 March to 1 April. The meeting also provided an opportunity for reflection on the state of the Vice-Province of Haiti.

Lomé, Togo - April 2017 - On April 5, the Don Bosco Institute of Philosophy and Humanities opened a research workshop in the presence of students, professors and academic authorities. The inaugural symposium was on the theme "The sociocultural and philosophical conditions of emergency".

São Paulo, Brazil - April 2017 - Over 300 people, representatives of various groups of the Salesian Family, gathered at the "Coração de Jesus" high school for the annual retreat of the Salesian Family. The event was attended by Fr. Edson Castilho, Provincial of São Paulo (BSP), and Fr Roque Sibioni, BSP Vicar and Delegate for Youth Pastoral, who spoke on the Rector Major's Strenna "We are Family! Every House, a School of Life and Love. "

Kapshagay, Kazakhstan - April 2017 - Two missionary volunteers, Barbara Burek and Karolina Wodzynska, of the Salesian Volunteer Movement in Poland have been working for over 6 months in Kapshagay, about 200 km from the border with China. They are working in a home, helping children at risk who come from poor and problematic families. Many of them have experienced domestic violence.
