Bangkok, Thailand - December 2017 - Salesians from the Thailand Province (THA) celebrated the 9th edition of the Salesian Games at the Hua Hin Vithayalai School from 6 to 9 December. The opening ceremony was presided by Fr Dheparat Pitisant, THA Provincial. The event was attended by about 3,000 students of various Salesian schools who competed in 14 sports.

Namaacha, Mozambique - December 2017 - The Association of Salesian Cooperators (ASC) of Mozambique welcomed eight new members during the Eucharistic celebration on Saturday 9 December, presided over by Fr Marco Biaggi, Provincial of the Vice Province of Mozambique.

Lima, Peru - December 2017 - On 2 and 3 December over 400 young people, animators and catechists from the various oratories in Lima and Callao took part in the 2017 Youth Oratory Meeting organized by Fr Elmer Jaramillo and his animation team.

Rome, Italy - December 2017 - The directors of 9 Salesian Mission Offices of USA and Europe, accompanied by the General Councilor for Missions, Fr Guillermo Basañes, and the General Economer, Mr Jean-Paul Muller, gathered at the Salesian Pontifical University from 7 to 10 December. Reflection focused on the identity and role of the Mission Offices of the Congregation, strengthening collaboration among them and improving the connection with Salesian Non-Governmental Organizations and Provincial Planning and Development Offices. It was also an opportunity to study the challenges faced by the Congregation in fundraising, and to find answers to the rapid socio-economic and political changes facing donors and supporters of Salesian work.

Darkhan, Mongolia - 8 December 2017 - About 60 people participated in the feast of the Immaculate Conception celebrated in the Salesian parish of Mary Help of Christians. At the end of the Mass, a catechesis was held centering on the figure of Mary.
