(ANS - San Salvador) - The International Labour Organization gives a dark and disquieting report on youth employment. "There are 1.7 million newly unemployed in the region of Latin America, out of a total of 19 million" it was announced by the organization at the presentation in Lima, Peru, of the document. Work in 2015: overall view for Latin America and the Caribbean." The most worrying aspect is the situation of young people, because in the region, the youth unemployment rate is three times higher than that of adults. Faced with this gloomy picture, the Salesians want to offer a proposal.
(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco, seen up close, is well known: he wrote a lot about himself and there are thousands of pages of witnesses, mostly Salesians. But how was he seen outside Salesian houses, in the last ten years of his life and in what was written about him after the council?
(ANS - Munich) - At the Third Meeting of the Missionaries in Europe recently held in Munich in Bavaria, there were five missionary priests ordained this year (4 for the Province of France-Southern Belgium and one for Northern Belgium). They had been sent as missionaries to Europe after their post-novitiate and had done their training and theological studies in their new Provinces.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”
(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

United States – World Water Day: Salesian Missions highlights projects that ensure clean water for youth
(ANS – New Rochelle) - Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco, joins humanitarian organizations and countries around the globe in celebrating World Water Day. Led by U.N.-Water, the organization that coordinates the United Nations’ work on water and sanitation, the day has been honored on March 22 every year since 1993.

Dear friends and readers, members of the Salesian Family, for this month's greeting in the Salesian Bulletin I will focus on a very important event that the Salesian Congregation is holding presently: General Chapter XXIX. This assembly, the most important one that the Congregation can experience, occurs every six years along the Salesian Congregation’s journey.
