Born on November 13, 1967, in Gorzów Wlkp, Poland, Fr. Jachimowicz entered the Salesian Congregation and completed his novitiate in Swobnica, making his first profession on August 22, 1987. He professed his perpetual vows on July 31, 1993, in Rumia, and was ordained a priest on May 25, 1995, in Ląd. His academic background includes degrees in Theology from the Catholic University of Lublin and Pedagogy from the University of Szczecin.
Fr. Jachimowicz has held numerous key leadership roles in education and administration. He began his ministry as the Vice Principal of a school in Szczecin (1995–1998) before becoming its Principal (1998–2006). He later served as the Rector of the community and Principal in Aleksandrów Kujawski (2006–2015) and as the Economer of the community in Szczecin (2015). His leadership also extended to the provincial level when he was appointed Provincial of the Poland-Piła Province (PLN) from 2016 to 2020. Additionally, he has been actively involved as the Delegate for Past Pupils in the "St. Adalbert" Province of Poland.
Fluent in Polish, German, English, Russian, and Italian, Fr. Jachimowicz brings a strong international perspective to his role. His re-election as Regional Councillor for Central & Northern Europe is a testament to his deep commitment to the Salesian mission, particularly in education, pastoral care, and community development.
In his second term, Fr. Jachimowicz will continue to guide and animate Salesian works across Central and Northern Europe, fostering the spirit of Don Bosco in the service of young people and the broader community.
