(ANS - Vatican City) - "Walk to my presence and be blameless [the Lord said to Abraham]. Full stop! This is the best definition of holiness. (...) Even today one can be holy. There are many saints in the Church, many." Yesterday, 2 May, Pope Francis granted an audience to the Salesian novices of Pinerolo and Genzano in Rome, together with the pre-novices of the Provinces of Italy and those from Malta, with their formation personnel and the people in charge. It was a meeting full of encouragement to live their vocation and the following of Christ to the full.
(ANS - Genoa) -the Salesian Community of Sampierdarena in Genoa hosted the Fifth Forum of the Salesian Youth Movement of Central Italy (ICC) from Saturday 29 April to Monday 1 May. The participants were more than 1,500 young people from about fifty works of the Salesians and Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA) from 7 regions. Among those in attendance were Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, Archbishop of Genoa and President of the Italian Episcopal Conference, and the Defence Minister, Roberta Pinotti.
(ANS - Cachoeira do Campo) The "First Seminar on Missionary Animation and Formation" is a unique encounter that is starting in Latin America. Certainly, "evangelization in these times is not an easy task," but there is a great need for reflection and, above all, "testimony with one’s life" in order to proclaim Jesus Christ. The goal of the seminar was to assimilate, understand and study deeply the First Proclamation and look for concrete educational and pastoral ways to make it effective in the Salesian mission.
