(ANS - Rome) - From 9 to 12 May the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, will visit the province of Mexico-Mexico. It will be a brief, but very intensive visit, full of significant events
(ANS - Genova) - The committee for the anniversaries of the birth and death of St Dominic Savio has planned a generous calendar of events for the celebrations of the 175th anniversary of the birth and the 160th anniversary of the death of Saint Dominic Savio. They want to keep alive the memory of the one whom Pius XI defined as "among the first and most beautiful fruits of the exquisite educative work of Don Bosco".
(ANS - Yangon) - "We came not to count the wounds of the past, but to count the blessings of peace. We came not to remember the nightmares of the past, but to pursue the promise of peace for us and for future generations. Our country is on the road to full peace, justice for the weak, and prosperity for all." So said Salesian Cardinal Charles Maung Bo, Archbishop of Yangon, during an interreligious meeting-pilgrimage on 26-27 April in Yangon, attended by over 200 religious leaders of Myanmar - Buddhists, Christians, Muslims and Hindus.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

Argentina – UNISAL Participates in the International Forum “Territories of the Future: South Atlantic and Antarctica”(ANS – Río Grande) – From February 19 to 21, the cities of Río Grande, Tolhuin, and Ushuaia hosted the International Forum “Territories of the Future: South Atlantic and Antarctica”, organized by the University Network for the Care of the Common Home (RUC) and the Municipality of Río Grande, with support from the National University of Tierra del Fuego (UNTDF). The event brought together universities from Argentina, Latin America, and the Caribbean to discuss sustainability and conservation in these regions, with the Salesian University of Argentina (UNISAL) playing an important role.

This assembly, the most important one that the Congregation can experience, occurs every six years along the Salesian Congregation’s journey.
