(ANS - Rome) - "Europe is a land of contrasts (...). The Salesians of my region speak 27 different languages!" This is what Fr Tadeusz Rozmus, Councillor for the Central and Northern Europe region, said in February when he was describing the region he is responsible for. Precisely because of the complexity and variety of the region, the Team Visit for the Region to be conducted by the Rector Major, Fr Á.F. Artime and his Council, is divided into two parts. Tomorrow, Tuesday 16 May, that of the Atlantic-German zone will begin at the Salesianum in Rome.
(ANS - Tokyo) - "I'm happy! The Second Regional Congress (of 11 provinces) has ended in Tokyo with great success. (...) These were four days that will affect the Association in East Asia-Oceania. "So wrote Noemi Bertola, World Coordinator for Salesian Cooperators, on her Facebook page, at the end of the event that brought together over 300 members of the Association in Japan from 7 to 10 May.
(ANS - City of Panama) - At the World Youth Day (WYD) in Krakow 2016, after announcing that the next WYD would be in Panama in 2019, Pope Francis said, "I do not know if I will be in Panama but I can assure you one thing, Peter (the Pope) will be in Panama." Yesterday, Sunday 14 May, during the Eucharist presided over by Archbishop José Domingo Ulloa of Panama City, the official logo of the Panama WYD (22-27 January 2019) was launched and the Patrons of the event announced.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

Argentina – UNISAL Participates in the International Forum “Territories of the Future: South Atlantic and Antarctica”(ANS – Río Grande) – From February 19 to 21, the cities of Río Grande, Tolhuin, and Ushuaia hosted the International Forum “Territories of the Future: South Atlantic and Antarctica”, organized by the University Network for the Care of the Common Home (RUC) and the Municipality of Río Grande, with support from the National University of Tierra del Fuego (UNTDF). The event brought together universities from Argentina, Latin America, and the Caribbean to discuss sustainability and conservation in these regions, with the Salesian University of Argentina (UNISAL) playing an important role.

This assembly, the most important one that the Congregation can experience, occurs every six years along the Salesian Congregation’s journey.
