(ANS - Rome) - The World Novena to Mary Help of Christians promoted by the Salesian Headquarters concludes today, Monday, May 23. Each day's videos, available in multiple languages, have each recorded thousands of views on the various digital channels used, a sign of a universal devotion that transcends the Salesian Family and expands throughout the world. Tomorrow, the day of the liturgical feast, the eyes of all those who venerate Our Lady with the title of Help of Christians will be fixed on Valdocco and on that basilica built for "Our Lady of difficult times" by her greatest apostle, Don Bosco.

(ANS - Rome) - Every year May 24 is a day of true joy for the whole Salesian Family: it is the day on which the "Madonna of Don Bosco," Mary Help of Christians, is celebrated. In Turin, at the Basilica dedicated to Her, because of the anniversary, great celebrations have been planned, this year, finally, even with greater possibilities of participation than in the last two years, which were marked by the pandemic. At the same time, to encourage global participation in the celebration from around the world, the main events will be streamed live on the ANS Facebook page.
(ANS – Rome) – The World Council of Salesian Cooperators (ASC) is happy to invite you to the forthcoming LIVE STREAMING on the YouTube channel of the Association of Salesian Cooperators next Sunday, May 22, 2022 (2 PM Rome - Italy time) with the theme: “Fruits of Economic Solidarity”. This online event makes concrete the adherence of the ASC (Association of Salesian Cooperators) to the “Economy of Francesco” movement, launched by the Holy Father a few years ago.
(ANS - Rome) - With the month of May, all Salesian houses dress up to celebrate Mary Help of Christians, and all members of the Salesian Family prepare to renew their love and devotion to the Virgin according to the title so beloved by Don Bosco. This year the situation allows for greater mobility between countries, and this will allow the Salesian Motherhouse in Turin-Valdocco, to be able to host the appointment of the Consulta, or World Council, of the Salesian Family (20-22 May) as a meeting in attendance, after two years of it being held online.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

India – INS youth solemnise Don Bosco’s Feast Day with ‘Ka Sur Kynud S-3’ Grand Finale(ANS – Shillong) – The Youth of St John Paul II, Shillong Province, celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Bosco with the Grand Finale of “Ka Sur Kynud, Season 3.” Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television, the Social Communication Department of the Province, at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, this two-month-long singing competition, which imitates the global singing competition The Voice, concluded on 31 January 2025, coinciding with the Solemnity of St John Bosco.

United States – CATHOLIC WORLD DAY OF THE SICK: Salesian Missions highlights medical programs for people in need around the globe(ANS – New Rochelle) – Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco, joins Catholic organizations around the globe in honoring the Catholic World Day of the Sick. Every year on Feb. 11, the Pope marks the day with a special message calling for spiritual and physical closeness to all those who are ill. Saint John Paul II instituted the day “to encourage the people of God, Catholic health institutions and civil society to be increasingly attentive to the sick and to those who care for them.”
