(ANS - Rome) - After more than two weeks spent between Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea, the Rector Major, Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime is preparing to return to the African continent for a visit of animation to the Salesian presence in Zambia and Zimbabwe, scheduled from Thursday, April 21 to Friday, April 29. Great is the enthusiasm already felt among the Salesian communities and the Salesian Family of those countries.
(ANS - Rome) - The third issue of "ANS News Video", the monthly video news bulletin that reviews the most important events of the Congregation and the Salesian Family, is currently being published. This new video features the appointments for March.
(ANS - Rome) - Young people, as we know, are the first concern for Salesians: at all times, in all places, in all circumstances. All the more so when they are in danger, like during a war. That's why girls like Nastia or Dasha are welcome and housed today in Salesian centers in Poland and Spain after fleeing Ukraine.
(ANS – Rome) – On 10 April 2022, Palm Sunday, the Mother General of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Sr. Chiara Cazzuola, with the Vicar General, Sr. María del Rosario García Ribas, visited the Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco, Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, at the SDB HQ at Sacred Heart of Jesus in Rome. In the family encounter, Mother Chiara, in addition to offering her best wishes for the upcoming Easter in the name of all the FMA, in response to a specific request from the Successor of Don Bosco, Father and Center of unity of the Salesian Family, gave Fr. Ángel various representative relics (2nd degree) of the FMA. These are objects that belonged to some Sisters on the path to the honors of the altar, which will serve to embellish with the contribution of women, the Salesian Holiness sector of “Don Bosco House Museum” in Turin, Valdocco.
(ANS - Rome) - From April 4 to 13, the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, gathered with the General Council members present in Rome for the interim session of the Council. During the eight work sessions completed so far, several issues of governance of the Congregation were addressed, which the 10th Successor of Don Bosco had the pleasure of sharing yesterday evening, on the eve of Holy Thursday, in the "goodnight" with community members of the Salesian Headquarters.
(ANS - Rome) - The Easter greetings that the Rector Major Fr Ángel Fernández Artime usually sends, this year, in addition to the content wishing everyone Peace, Joy and Hope in the Risen Christ, are characterized by having been printed by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato of Rome, the Italian State Mint and Polygraphic Institute. It is a collector's commemorative stamp, printed in a limited edition of one thousand copies, depicting the exterior of the Casa Don Bosco House Museum in Valdocco (Turin) in silk-screen printing and five cinderella stamps depicting "special" pieces from the same museum.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”
(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

India – INS youth solemnise Don Bosco’s Feast Day with ‘Ka Sur Kynud S-3’ Grand Finale
(ANS – Shillong) – The Youth of St John Paul II, Shillong Province, celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Bosco with the Grand Finale of “Ka Sur Kynud, Season 3.” Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television, the Social Communication Department of the Province, at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, this two-month-long singing competition, which imitates the global singing competition The Voice, concluded on 31 January 2025, coinciding with the Solemnity of St John Bosco.

United States – CATHOLIC WORLD DAY OF THE SICK: Salesian Missions highlights medical programs for people in need around the globe
(ANS – New Rochelle) – Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco, joins Catholic organizations around the globe in honoring the Catholic World Day of the Sick. Every year on Feb. 11, the Pope marks the day with a special message calling for spiritual and physical closeness to all those who are ill. Saint John Paul II instituted the day “to encourage the people of God, Catholic health institutions and civil society to be increasingly attentive to the sick and to those who care for them.”
