(ANS – Dublin) – The Salesians in Ireland are inviting all the people for a journey of preparation for Marian Consecration that will take place on the 24th May 2021. So the Fr Provincial, Fr Eunan McDonnell, has shared a reflection entitled: “I love you too… Consecration”.
(ANS - Rimini) - A few days after the feast day of Don Bosco, the Salesian community of Rimini publishes a boxed set containing all the publications concerning its church of Mary Help of Christians. The collection serves as a synthesis of the in-depth works developed in conjunction with two centenarians recently experienced by the community: that of the birth of Blessed Alberto Marvelli (21 March 1918), who was formed as a committed young Christian in the church of Mary Help of Christians; and that relating to the arrival of the Salesians in Rimini (1919-2019).
(ANS - Porto Novo) - On 1 February last, a statue of Mary Help of Christians from the Salesian house in Córdoba, Spain, reached the Salesian community in Porto Novo, Benin. The arrival of this sculpture, which was welcomed with great joy and much-awaited for by Salesians, young people and street children, represents a significant tribute to the memory of the late Salesian Fr Antonio César Fernández; yesterday, 15 February 2021, marked two years since his tragic death.
Turin, Italy - 1961 - On 11 June 1961 the first stone of the temple at Colle Don Bosco was laid. In the photo we see, in the background, Don Fedele Giraudi, who helped the designer to create the work and, later, Mgr. Fossati, in one of his last public appearances. Further behind, however, we see the little singers and chirichetti of Valdocco.
(ANS - Bujumbura) – Taking place on Saturday 28 November 2020, the day on which the universal Church celebrates the anniversary of the first Marian apparitions in Kibeho, Rwanda, at the Salesian house of Buterere, in Bujumbura, the consecration and inauguration of the "Mary Help of Christians" shrine, which falls within the territory of the Salesian parish "St John Paul II" of Buterere.
Madrid, Spain - 1905 - On 12 October 1905, on the feast day of Our Lady of Pilar, the ancient church dedicated to Mary Help of Christians was inaugurated in the Atocha district of Madrid. About 50 years later, the latter was demolished and construction of the current Shrine began in the same location.

(ANS – Rome) – Fr Francisco Lezama was born in the city of Montevideo on 11 September 1979. He got to know the Salesians in the Salesian work of Las Piedras, where he took part in youth groups and parish activities.

Myanmar – Tragedy of Innocent Children in the midst of Armed Conflicts
(ANS – Naypyidaw) - Myanmar finds itself immersed in profound grief and anguish as innocent lives, particularly those of children, continue to be mercilessly lost in the enduring armed conflicts. Families are left devastated by the tragic loss of their loved ones while the relentless violence shows no signs of abating. This week, a heartfelt plea from Myanmar reached our community, shedding light on the heart-wrenching death of a young girl Juliet in a military airstrike, prompting a unified call for prayers and action.

Spain – 2024 Pastoral and Theological Updating
(ANS – Santiago de Compostela) – The two Provinces of the Salesians of Don Bosco in Spain, Saint James the Greater (SSM) and Mary Help of Christians (SMX), are organising their Theological and Pastoral Updating meetings this year for the second part of July. This is an event that has become traditional, organised by the Formation Delegates of both Provinces, and aimed mainly at cultivating spirituality and ongoing formation among Salesians throughout the country.

Solomon Islands – Salesian presence in the country
