(ANS - Madrid) - Fr Alejandro Guevara Rodríguez is the Worldwide Spiritual Animator of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA). In this month of May, dedicated to Mary, and a few days after the Feast Day of Mary Help of Christians, we publish this interview in which he talks about the association today.
(ANS – Los Angeles) – On May 8, 2021, at 10 AM, it was a sunny morning at St. Bridget Chinese Catholic Church. Around 100 people gathered together to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony for Mary Help of Christians Center.
(ANS – Gracias) – The feet of Mary Help of Christians are the feet of a missionary evangeliser. The Scripture says: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the Good News” (Rm 10,15). Mary is the woman of the Good News; she is the one who gave her life for the Gospel. She is the one who has given life to the one who gives life and will say one day: ‘I am the life’. She is the one who taught how to walk the path of ordinary daily life, the one who will one day say: ‘I am the way’.
(ANS - Turin) - It ended with an embrace to the world - to the countries where Covid-19 is making the poor pay the highest price, such as India, Brazil, Argentina - the greeting of the Rector Major of the Salesians, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, on the Feast Day of Mary Help of Christians, celebrated in the basilica of Valdocco on Monday 24 May 2021.
Turin, Italy - May 2021 - Yesterday, Monday 24 May, starting at 6.30 pm, the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, presided over the Mass of the Feast Day of Mary Help of Christians in the Basilica dedicated to her in Turin. At the end of the Mass, the statue of the Help of Christians was brought to the square in front of the basilica, and here the Rector Major prayed and consecrated the city to Mary Help of Christians. For the first time, the image of Mary Help of Christians found itself without the many faithful who every year came from all over the world to pay homage to it. But, despite their physical absence, the Help of Christians was certainly not alone: from everywhere, the faithful connected to pray to her and to entrust themselves to her.
(ANS - Turin) - "Mary who tells": there is not, in the invocations of the Mother of Jesus, one that recalls this characteristic of hers. Yet one of her qualities is precisely that of having been a witness and communicator of the ineffable experience of generating and following the Savior. The famous altarpiece in the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians is also an expression of this commitment. Fr Enrico Lupano, one of the Valdocco Salesians engaged in welcoming pilgrims, sends an essay.

Spain – 2024 Pastoral and Theological Updating(ANS – Santiago de Compostela) – The two Provinces of the Salesians of Don Bosco in Spain, Saint James the Greater (SSM) and Mary Help of Christians (SMX), are organising their Theological and Pastoral Updating meetings this year for the second part of July. This is an event that has become traditional, organised by the Formation Delegates of both Provinces, and aimed mainly at cultivating spirituality and ongoing formation among Salesians throughout the country.
