Don Bosco in TV: tre appuntamenti per conoscerlo meglio
(Roma, 26 gennaio 2024) – La festa di San Giovanni Bosco, Padre e Maestro dei Giovani, è una ricorrenza sentita e partecipata in tutto il mondo. A livello globale saranno numerose le emittenti e le testate giornalistiche che inseriranno nei loro palinsesti degli spazi speciali dedicati a ricordarne la figura e a parlare di chi porta avanti la sua missione oggi. Sulle reti televisive italiane, ad esempio, sono già in programma nei prossimi giorni tre appuntamenti, che avranno per protagonisti il Cardinale Ángel Fernández Artime, Rettor Maggiore dei Salesiani; il Co-portavoce della Congregazione Salesiana, don Giuseppe Costa; e il Consigliere Generale per la Pastorale Giovanile salesiana, don Miguel Ángel García Morcuende.
In vista della festa, domenica 28 gennaio 2024, su TgCom24, intorno alle 14:15/14:20 (UTC+1) andrà in onda l’intervista al Card. Á.F. Artime, all’interno della rubrica “Stanze Vaticane”. Il colloquio con il vaticanista Fabio Marchese Ragona sarà successivamente disponibile sulla piattaforma Mediaset Infinity e sul canale YouTube di TgCom24.
Mentre nella giornata di mercoledì 31 gennaio:
– Don Costa sarà ospite del programma di approfondimento “Di buon mattino”, su TV2000, contenitore di attualità che ha inizio alle ore 7:30 (UTC+1).
– Don García Morcuende verrà intervistato nell’ambito della rubrica “TG2 Italia Europa”, sulla rete Rai 2, con inizio alle ore 10:00 (UTC+1).
Per tutti gli interessati saranno, dunque, tre opportunità per conoscere ancora meglio e più da vicino la sempre attuale figura di Don Bosco.

(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

Spain – 33rd Edition of the Edebé Prize for Children's and Young Adult Literature: Here Are the Winners
(ANS – Madrid) – The 33rd edition of the Edebé Prize for Children's and Young Adult Literature has been awarded to Beatriz Giménez de Ory (Madrid, 1972) for her novel Tres niños tristes y medio unicornio (Three Sad Children and Half a Unicorn) and David Lozano (Zaragoza, 1974) for his novel La cacería (The Hunt).

United States – CATHOLIC WORLD DAY OF THE SICK: Salesian Missions highlights medical programs for people in need around the globe
(ANS – New Rochelle) – Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco, joins Catholic organizations around the globe in honoring the Catholic World Day of the Sick. Every year on Feb. 11, the Pope marks the day with a special message calling for spiritual and physical closeness to all those who are ill. Saint John Paul II instituted the day “to encourage the people of God, Catholic health institutions and civil society to be increasingly attentive to the sick and to those who care for them.”
