Krakow, Poland - May 2016 - The "Savionalia" – a festival in honour of Saint Dominic Savio – took place this year from 6 to 8 May in Krakow (PLS). In the context of World Youth Day and the Holy Year of Mercy, this year’s motto was "Merciful like Him." Young people participated in several events, moments of prayer, conferences, meetings with various personalities, competitions on the WYD, games, theatrical festivals, exhibitions, concerts, and other attractions. The main Mass, presided over by Fr Dariusz Bartocha, Provincial of PLS, was celebrated on 8 May with the conferring of the missionary mandate to missionary volunteers about to depart. 

Salvador, Brazil - May 2016 - The opening ceremony of the Marian month was held on 2 May at the Salvador Salesian College.

Alicante, Spain - May 2016 - As part of the visit of the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, to the Salesians of the Mary Help of Christians Province of Spain, he went to Alicante on 10 May where he met the Salesian community, members of the Salesian Family and young people. The meeting was also attended by the community of Murcia.
